Dog of the week

Newburytoday hopes to help Dogs Trust Newbury to try to find a home for Kizzy

THIS week Dogs Trust Newbury is appealing for a home for three-year-old Lurcher cross, Kizzy.

Assistant manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, Jenny Hopkins, described Kizzy as a tall, dark beauty who is hoping she can be whisked off her feet and find her new home.

“She is a very graceful lady who brings a touch of class and serenity with you,” she added. “She would be looking for an active teenage family that can keep her on her toes and indulge in some home comforts, such as a spare sofa or a rug in front of the fire. True to her breed she hasn't lost her chase instinct so would prefer a home, and close surrounding area, free from small fluffy friends, such as cats. After a nice walk Kizzy will often lean against you, her way of saying she would like a cuddle! Such a graceful beauty this lovely lady will be a great addition to any lucky family.”

If you have a spare space in front of the fire or on the sofa and would like to offer Kizzy a new home, then please visit Dogs Trust Newbury at Plumbs Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury, Berks, RG20 0HR or call them on (01488) 658391 to arrange to meet her.

Dogs Trust is the UK's largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 16,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 17 Rehoming Centres nationwide.
