Dog of the week

Newburytoday hopes to help Dogs Trust Newbury to try to find a home for Clementine

THIS week Dogs Trust Newbury is appealing for a home for five month-old crossbreed Clementine.

Jenny Hopkins, assistant manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, asid Clementine's gentle nature and beautiful looks have made everyone at the rehoming centre fall in love with her.

“She is very sweet and loves affection and cuddles, and will give lots of licks in return,” she said.

“She would prefer an active home with a family that can spend time playing with her, and continue her training, including housetraining. But with age on her side she is sure to take all of the learning in her stride and if there is food involved she's sure to enjoy it even more.

“She gets on well with other dogs and loves playtime, whether enjoying an energetic game of fetch or simply running around the park. Clementine is a bouncy little lady who will no doubt add a burst of energy to any lucky family that can offer her a home.”

If you think you can offer Clementine a new place to call home, then please visit Dogs Trust Newbury at Plumbs Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury, Berks, RG20 0HR or call them on (01488) 658391 to arrange to meet her.

Dogs Trust is the UK's largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 16,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 17 Rehoming Centres nationwide.
