Dog of the week

Jenny Hopkins, Dogs Trust Newbury rehoming centre assistant manager, said: “Phoenix is your archetypal German Shepherd, she is lively, affectionate and would suit an active teenage family who have a large secure garden for her to play in.
“As she is still a youngster, Phoenix would benefit from further training and socialising, as sadly she doesn’t like other dogs or cats. Despite this she loves being around people; she is always friendly and energetic and loves her long walks as much as she loves affection and cuddles.”
If you think you can offer Phoenix a new place to rest her paws then visit Dogs Trust Newbury, Plumb’s Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury, Berks, RG20 0HR or call (01488) 658391.
Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 16,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 17 Rehoming Centres nationwide.
