Dog of the Week

Dogs Trust Newbury Rehoming Centre assistant manager, Jenny Hopkins, said: “She might have been tossed into the long grass and left to fend for herself, but this happy go lucky lady loves life.
“Her carers say she is a “busy bee” with affection for everyone.
“If you’re looking for a pal who is full of fun and always ready for a walk, treat and cuddle, then April could be the perfect dog for you.
“She can be a little timid to begin with, but once she’s ‘sniffed’ you out and realises your potential as a cuddle giver, she’ll make a loyal friend.
“She’s quite young, around a year to 18-months old and is very keen to learn, so she’d thrive at the chance to attend classes where she can pick up new tricks.”
She added: “She can mix with other dogs when on walks and would love to be out and about exploring new places with her owner.”
“April is such a sweet girl with a playful nature, who is desperate for someone to love her.
“She’d suit an active but quiet teenage family with no other pets so that she benefits from lots of attention. She’ll make a charming pet for a lucky owner.”
