Dog of the Week

Assistant manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, Jenny Hopkins, said: “Andy has all the qualities of a star dog.
“He started life as a stray and took a little time to settle as he was a tad timid at first. Now he’s a huge hit with the ladies – two and four-legged - and laps up all the attention he can get his little paws on.
“His perfect match would be someone whose love for ball games stretches all year round.
“He’d love to meet his perfect match and be out of kennels making the most of the summer with his new owner.”
“He’d also make a perfect companion for a small female dog and would suit a quiet, adult home in a rural area.”
If you think Andy could be a new edition in your home, then visit Dogs Trust Newbury, Plumb’s Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury or call (01488) 658 391.
The Dog’s Trust is holding an open day on July 21.
Ms Hopkins added: “It’s a perfect excuse for a day out with the family with plenty of activities for everyone to have a bit of fun, whether you’re looking for a new dog or just love them as much as we do.
“We’d love everyone to pop down and enjoy the array of activities we’re putting on.”
Entry is free and parking is £1.
