Assistant Manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, Jenny Hopkins, said: “Jack may be an older chap, but he’s still full of beans.
“He enjoys keeping active and would make a great walking partner as he loves going on short strolls around the village followed by a kip in the afternoon.
“Jack is very fond of cuddles and enjoys snuggling up to his carers.
“He would prefer to be the only pet in the home, but could live with another gentle female dog.
“He is looking for a quiet home where he can retire and live out the good life, perhaps with a retired couple who are around for most of the day as he doesn’t like being left on his own for too long.”
