Dog of the week

Dogs Trust Newbury is appealing for two owners who think they could be a match for one of these two dogs.
Pip, a playful three-year-old Collie and Buster, a nine-year-old Terrier are both in need of new homes and staff at the centre in Plumb’s Farm are looking for owners who would suit each pooch’s individual personality.
Assistant Manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, Jenny Hopkins, said: “Pip is an energetic girl who loves playing with her toys and going for long, fun-filled walks.
“She’s a young girl so would benefit from an active, teenage family who can continue her training and have the energy to keep up with her bouncy personality.
“While she mixes well with larger dogs, this playful girl would prefer to be the only dog in the home, so her owners could devote time to helping with her training and enjoy lots of playtime at the same time.”
She added: “Sweet Buster is looking for a home where he can live out his golden years in a quiet setting.
“He enjoys spending time with people and doesn’t like being left alone for too long so would ideally suit an experienced, retired owner who has no other pets and could be at home during the day to keep Buster company.
“Lovely Buster is used to his home comforts and enjoys nothing more than curling up for a snooze with his owner at the end of a long day.”
