Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust
Welcome to Dog of the Week; our online feature highlighting some of the dogs waiting for their forever home.
Dogs Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.
You can find out more about adopting a dog by visiting the charity’s website.
And each Sunday we will feature one of the dogs looking for a new home in West Berkshire.
This week, we have Hugo to introduce you to.
Hugo is a typical bouncy pup and is only 11-months-old.
He is a lurcher crossbreed from Newbury who Dog’s Trust say came into their care through no fault of his own.
He is a young boy who unfortunately has not had the best start to life and has not experienced the world massively.
Despite this, he is a friendly pup who is playful and affectionate with his handlers at the Dog’s Trust centre.
And he really enjoys going out on sniffy adventures.
And he is looking for an active home to continue his socialisation.
He could live with sensible children aged 14 years and over.
Hugo could also live with a calm, well-established dog that would be able to teach him the ropes but, equally, he could live as an only dog providing he had lots of opportunities to socialise out and about.
But Hugo cannot live with cats or small furries.
He would love a garden to call his own where he can play to his heart is content.
Hugo would be looking for adopters who will be around for the majority of the time while he settles, with any leaving hours being slowly built up over time.
