Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust
Welcome to Dog of the Week; our online feature highlighting some of the dogs waiting for their forever home.
Dogs Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.
You can find out more about adopting a dog by visiting the charity’s website.
And each Sunday we will feature one of the dogs looking for a new home in West Berkshire.
This week, we have Arthur to introduce you to.
He is a six-year-old Poodle crossbreed with a sensitive soul.
He can be worried by the world and seeks a lot of reassurance from his known people.
His ideal home would be with adopters who are calm and quiet and can help his confidence grow.
He absolutely adores playing with his toys, although he also loves de-stuffing them so adopters may need to keep a stock and supervise him when playing.
Dog’s Trust is looking for experienced and understanding adopters to give Arthur the time and space he needs to settle in at his own pace.
Arthur is looking for an adult-only home with minimal visitors and it is important that he has a safe space to call his own within the home as he has shown discomfort around handling in the past.
Dog’s Trust is looking to find Arthur a home where he is the only pet and where he has a garden to call his own.
Arthur would like to find adopters who are around for the majority of the time whilst settling in, although he could eventually be left for a couple of hours.
