Dog reunited with owner a month after escaping from M4 crash
Jo-Jo the lurcher found safe and well after massive search
A DOG which went missing for a month when the car it was travelling in overturned on the M4 has been found and reunited with its owner.
Jo-Jo the lurcher was lost on December 15 after escaping near Reading and owner Jackey Holt, 73, says she is overwhelmed to have him back.
Jo-Jo was found safe and well in the Tutts Clump area on Tuesday.
Mrs Holt, from Wales, who suffered several broken ribs in the collision, had been lent a caravan in Tutts Clump so that she could search for her dog.
She had been visiting friends from her home in Rhondda, Wales to deliver Christmas presents and was making the journey back home when she had her accident.
People from across West Berkshire joined in the search for Jo-Jo, and several sightings of the dog were posted on a Facebook group with more than 900 members prior to the animal being found.
Mrs Holt also thanked The Dogs Trust in Newbury, who she described as “amazing”.
