Dogs Trust Newbury Christmas fair proves huge success

£320 raised for the charity

DOGS Trust Newbury’s Christmas fair on Sunday (Dec 6) proved a tail-waggingly good success, raising £320 for the charity.

Held at the Dogs Trust Newbury at Plumb’s Farm, Hamstead Marshall, the charity’s assistant manager, Jenny Hopkins, said:

“ We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Christmas Fair on Sunday December 6.

We raised an amazing £320 thanks to those who attended on the day, gave a donation and volunteered their time. It was fantastic to see so many two and four-legged friends enjoying the atmosphere and tucking into some festive treats.”

Homemade jams, cakes and wreaths proved a huge success and Ms Hopkins added extra “big thanks,” she said to those who attended on the day, gave a donation and volunteered their time, adding:

“There are still delicious jams and Christmas cards for sale so please do pop along to the rehoming centre if you are interested.”

Dogs Trust Newbury currently has 45 dogs here of all shapes, sizes and breeds who are all looking to swap kennel life for a loving home. If you think you can give a dog a lasting home, please get in touch. Pop in to the Dogs Trust Newbury, Plumb’s Farm, Hamstead Marshall, telephone 01488 658391.
