Town centre battles, It's a Knockout, Facebook wars and Battle Proms

IN this week's Newbury Weekly News read the full story of a violent battle between police and early morning weekend revellers in the town centre as groups turned on each other as well as the officers trying to contain them.

Elsewhere West Berkshire Council's social services team finds itself under pressure again after a mother was sentenced for what a senior police officer described as the worst case of child neglect he had seen.

In a hugely colourful feature this week we are asking, “Where are they now?” as we attempt to reunite the members of the 1976 It's a Knockout team which won the British heats and the international version Jeux Sans Frontières.
