Downpours overnight prompt serious delays to rail services this morning (Tues) with more rain on the way

A yellow warning for rain – which means be aware – is in force until 3pm today during which time continuous rainfall is forecast.
Heavy rain is also forecast for almost the whole of tomorrow, while at noon yellow weather warnings for wind and rain will come into play in West Berkshire.
The downpours have caused severe disruption to rail services, with flooding on lines close to Maidenhead.
First Great Western say that only four trains will run per hour from Reading to London Paddington, including a rail replacement service from Reading to Maidenhead.
Ticket restrictions have been lifted, but passengers are urged to travel only if essential.

The news of the severe weather also comes as a blow to many people who have already suffered severe flooding within their homes and gardens.
Particularly affected have been residents of Great Shefford, Eastbury, Shaw, Theale, Burghfield and parts of central Newbury.
Sara Taylor (pictured) of Great Shefford, whose home is already surrounded by a foot of water that overflowed from the Winterbourne stream, some of which is contaminated with sewage, said yesterday: “It’s very upsetting because you don’t know what you are doing.
“It’s literally coming through the floor and the walls.
“If this continues it’s going to go right through the house.”
There are currently 14 severe flood warnings – which warn of danger to life - in force by the Environment Agency, most of those along the River Thames.
None is in West Berkshire, although residents of Purley are on high alert with many properties already flooded.
Red flood warnings, which indicate that flooding is expected and immediate action is required, are in force for the River Thames at Purley, Pangbourne and Goring and Streatley.
The same warning is also in force for the River Pang at Bucklebury; the River Lambourn from Upper Lambourn to Great Shefford, including Lambourn, Eastbury and East Garston; and the River Kennet both from Theale to Reading and from Denford to Marsh Benham, including in Kintbury.
Amber alerts still apply on the River Kennet for its tributaries from Berwick Bassett to Newbury and also from Thatcham to Reading, including Burghfield, Colthrop, Woolhampton, Aldermaston, Theale, Calcot and Southcote.
The River Pang from East Ilsley to Pangbourne and Sulham Brook has the same amber alert, as does course of the River Lambourn through Shaw, Eastbury, East Garston, Welford, Easton, Boxford, Woodspeen, Bagnor, Donnington and at Great Shefford and Winterbourne.
An amber alert has been in force on the River Enborne from Gore End to Aldermaston.
How has the flooding been where you are?
