Dr Who bids deadline at Newbury Library

Fans of Scottish actor David Tennant (Dr Who 2005 to 2010), were placing bids for the cardboard figure, to be found in the library foyer, and made sadly redundant from a previous library display - starting price £5 - destined to become, possibly, an intriguing clothes hanger, or shop display.
Sidestepping the current (12th) Dr Who - Peter Capaldi, who took over the role from Matt Smith, this fictional Time Lord, from the planet of Gallifrey who travels through time and space, has made a temporary come back!
Giving a whole new meaning to the whodunit, he has stepped out of his —bigger on the inside—time machine, the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space) - better known as a 1963 police telephone call box - to pay a call to the wharf based library.
Priority given to first bids, if two or more people bid the same amount.
Next up at Newbury Library and to mark World Books Day, is a mad hatters tea party for children aged over eight, with chance to dress as favourite book characters , with crafts followed by a tea party.
The mad hatters children's tea party is from 3.30pm to 5pm on Thursday March 6. Free of charge, tickets from Newbury Library.
