Dragon and wizard tour Newbury for Hallowe'en event
A terrifying dragon took to the streets of Newbury, accompanied by a wizard, as part of a Hallowe'en spook-tacular.
The fantastical visit was organised by the Newbury Business Improvement District (BID).
Children were entertained by the duo, who dropped in at Parkway Shopping, the Kennet Centre and Market Place before finishing up at Cheap Street.
The event was the centrepiece of a programme of BID attractions and activities organised over the Hallowe'en week.
These included themed makeovers by town centre businesses, with members of the public encouraged to take selfies outside of the creepy storefronts.
Parkway manager Andrew Marmot told the Newbury Weekly News: "We would like to thank everyone who came and joined us during Hallowe'en half-term week and for the lovely feedback.
"We would also like to thank Newbury BID for co-ordinating an excellent week and incredible dragon visit!
"That was something you don't see every day! We are really looking forward to Christmas now!"
The Newbury BID's operations manager, Alison Drummond, said: "We're delighted with the turn out of this year's Hallowe'en events, and would like to thank all of those who came and joined us - in the pouring rain at times - for our extraordinary dragon and wizard visits!
"It’s always been a priority for us at the BID to deliver events that benefit the town centre, and we'd like to give our special thanks to Pageant Party for bringing Halloween right up to Cheap Street, Crystalz and Rainbowz, and of course, Parkway Shopping and Kennet Shopping for delivering this fantastic and inclusive event for all!
"Bring on the festive period ..."
