Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man caught drink-driving




A MAN has been banned from the roads for drink-driving.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, June 14, was Charlie London.

The 25-year-old, of Walton Way, Newbury, admitted driving a red Seat Ibiza on Heath Lane, Thatcham, on Saturday, April 30, after drinking more than the legal limit.

Tests showed 56mcg of alcohol per 100ml of alcohol in his system.

The legal limit is 35mcg.

Mr London was fined £600.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £60.

Finally, Mr London was banned from driving for 18 months.
