Calcot motorist Zhala Jordan drank more than three-and-a-half times limit in Thatcham




A MOTORIST was caught behind the wheel after drinking more than three-and-a-half times the legal limit.

Zhala Jordan appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, July 31.

The 37-year-old, of Corsham Road, Calcot, admitted driving a Ford Focus on the A4 Bath Road in Thatcham on Wednesday, May 29, after drinking more than the legal limit.

Tests showed 125mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in her system.

The legal limit is 35mcg.

Jordan was fined £500 and made subject to an 18-month community order with an alcohol treatment requirement.

Next, Jordan was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £114.

Finally, Jordan was banned from driving for 30 months.
