Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury drink-driver was more than three times limit
A MOTORIST has been sentenced for being caught behind the wheel after drinking more than three times the legal limit.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Friday, September 2, was Patrick O'Halloran.
The 64-year-old, of The Gabriels, Newbury, admitted driving a Honda CR-V on Pinchington Lane, Newbury, on Sunday, June 12, after drinking more than the legal limit.
Tests showed 107mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.
The legal limit is 35mcg.
Mr O'Halloran was made subject to a community penalty which required him to complete 150 hours of unpaid community work.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £95.
Finally, Mr O'Halloran was banned from driving for two years.
