Reading Magistrates' Court: Calcot motorist had drunk almost twice limit




AN uninsured was caught behind the wheel after drinking almost double the legal limit.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, November 22, was Gintaras Kuodys

The 28-year-old, of Rushmoor Gardens, Calcot, admitted driving a black BMW on Hogarth Avenue in Reading on Sunday, October 30, after drinking more than the legal limit.

Tests showed 66mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system – nearly twice the legal limit of 35mcg.

Mr Kuodys was fined £600.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £240.

Finally, Mr Kuodys was banned from driving for 18 months.
