Chieveley driver Elliot Gregory had taken cocaine and ecstasy in Newbury




A MOTORIST was caught behind the wheel with a cocktail of Class A drugs in his system.

Elliot Gregory appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 26.

The 30-year-old, of High Street, Chieveley, admitted driving a black Audi A3 on Pinchington Lane, Newbury, on Wednesday, March 29, when the amount of MDMA, also known as the Class A-controlled drug ecstasy, in his system exceeded the prescribed limit.

He also admitted driving when the amount of the Class A-controlled drug cocaine in his system exceeded the specified limit on the same occasion.

Mr Gregory, who represented himself at the hearing, was fined £470.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £188.

Finally, Mr Gregory was banned from driving for 12 months.
