Driver hospitalised after Aldermaston accident (yesterday)

The Street was closed for nearly two hours after a grey Renault Clio and a white Ford KA van were involved in a collision.
Fire crews had to free the van driver after it ended up on its roof.
A spokesman for the South Central Ambulance Service, Matthew George, said that the van driver, a male in his twenties, suffered serious injuries to his back, arm and leg, and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
The driver of the Clio was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The road was closed in both directions to allow recovery work to be carried out, and re-opened at 6.05pm.
