Driver hospitalised following robbery in Hermitage
The 47-year-old man was approached by two men as he was delivering a takeaway on the Hampstead Norreys Road, Hermitage, at 10.30pm on Saturday, December 28.
After the men asked him about the food, the driver went to the boot of his vehicle where he felt a sharp blow to the back of his head and was knocked to the floor.
He was then kicked and stamped on before having his mobile phone stolen.
Police have said that the man is being treated for injuries to his head and thumb.
