Newbury man in his 60s in hospital with life-threatening injuries after car crashes into tree on the A339 between Basingstoke and Wolverton on Friday, November 15




A Newbury man in his 60s is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after his car crashed into a tree.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident which took place just after midnight in the early hours of Friday (November 15).

A silver Peugeot 206 left the road and collided with a tree on the A339 Kingsclere Road, between Basingstoke and Wolverton.

The driver, a man in his 60s from Newbury, sustained life-threatening injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: “We would like to speak to anyone who saw a vehicle matching this description in the area on that night.

“Do you have dash cam, doorbell or CCTV footage that could assist our investigation?
