Drivers advised to avoid A339 through Headley

Temporary traffic lights have been installed on the A339, near to Headley Tyres, while work to install a new right hand lane takes place, Ashford Hill with Headley Parish Council has confirmed, with the work scheduled to last six weeks.
“Traffic was backed up this morning (Tues) down to Knightsbridge Farm,” said Barrie Hiscock, chairman of the parish council today (Tues), adding traffic was, he said currently “horrendous” in the area (close to Cheam school) during the morning and evening rush hours.
