The buses serve the local Newbury community and enables the elderly to get to the shops as well as to vital social activities in order to maintain their independence and quality of life.
Handybus organiser, David Owen, said: "All we need at the outset is a full driving licence with a D1 provision and a willingness to help out! It’s really easy and good fun as well, and all training and assistance will be given to get new volunteer minibus drivers up and running, it’s then up to the individual as to how much time they wish to give”
Anyone interested should ring Mr Owen on (01635) 37111 or email
