Drivers urged to avoid A34 following earlier accident
The northbound carriageway is closed from the A34 junction with the A4130 at Milton and the A415 at Marcham while the police clear an incident that occurred earlier today.
The incident, involving two lorries, took place at about 11.44am.
One of the vehicles was carrying beer which has now been shed across both lanes.
Diversions are in place but drivers are being urged to consider alternative routes or delay their journeys until traffic conditions have improved.
Drivers travelling northbound are being diverted to leave the A34 at Milton and follow the westbound A4130 to join the A417 Reading Road.
Traffic will then follow the A338 Grove Road, before joining the A415 at Frilford to rejoin the A34 near Abingdon.
This route follows the solid black diamond diversion signs.
The road is not expected to re-open until about 6pm.
