Drivers warned of 70-minute delays on A34 following collision on Friday, September 20

Drivers are being urged to avoid a stretch of the A34 following a road traffic collision.

The incident happened on this afternoon (Friday), on the northbound stretch of the road.

National Highways said it hase closed one of the two lanes between the M4 Junction 13 and the A4185 East Ilsley junction.

Emergency services are on the scene, with traffic officers directing drivers.

As a result, there is currently five miles of congestion reported, which National Highways says translates to a 70-minute delay.
