Drug dealer caught with heroin and crack cocaine in Theale jailed




A drug dealer stopped by police in West Berkshire has been jailed.

Lee Charlton, 42, of Wittenham Close, Woodcote, was caught with four wraps of heroin and 18 wraps of crack cocaine in his car while driving through Theale on June 28 last year.

He was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on May 28 where he pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply a class A drug, namely cocaine, and one count of possession with intent to supply a class A drug, namely heroin.

He has been jailed for two years and nine months.

Investigating officer Liam Steel said: “Thames Valley Police will proactively target drug dealers through overt and covert tactics.

“Information from the public around drugs supply plays an important role in developing intelligence into a proactive investigation.
