Newbury woman Lauren Smith sentenced for drug-driving in Lambourn




A WOMAN has been sentenced for drug-driving.

Lauren Smith appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 3.

The 28-year-old, of Mill Lane, Newbury, admitted possessing a quantity of cocaine in Lambourn on September 5 last year.

She further admitted driving a BMW 320d on the B4000 near Hill Drop Lane, Lambourn, on the same occasion, when the amount of the Class A controlled drug in her system exceeded the specified limit.

Ms Smith, who was legally represented by Mason Waker, was made subject to a 12 month community order.

In addition she was required to pay £85 costs plus a statutory victim services surcharge.

Finally, Ms Smith was banned from driving for 18 months.
