Duchess of Cambridge announces pregnancy days after visiting district

Both the royal family and the Duchess’s family are said to be delighted with the news.
A statement released by St James’s Palace revealed that Her Royal Highness was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London earlier this afternoon with hyperemesis gravidarum, a form of severe morning sickness. She is expected to stay in hospital for several days.
The announcement comes just days after the Duchess revisited her home district to celebrate St Andrews Day at St Andrew’s School in Pangbourne, where she was a pupil from 1986 and 1995.
Friday's visit was the first time the Duchess had made an official visit in West Berkshire, having grown up in Chapel Row, since her marriage to Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, in April last year.
