Easter activities begin today (Saturday)
In the garden of the White Hart Inn, Hamstead Marshall, a festival will celebrate different Easter traditions from bunny rabbits to flowers, Simnel cakes, candles and chocolate eggs and beautiful painted ones in a range of stalls featuring local crafts and producers.
There is also a children’s quiz with Easter egg prizes and a contribution on entry will be made to St Mary’s Church, Hamstead Marshall.
The fun starts at 11.30am until 2.30pm, or, if you prefer the idea of an Easter egg hunt then head to the Ladybirds Pre-School in Roebuts Lane, Newbury, at 11.30am for some chocolate egg hunting, face painting, games and refreshments.
Entry costs £2.50 per child which entitles them to take part in the egg hunt, a drink and an activity.
If you wish to send in any of your photographs from these events, email them to newburytoday@newburynews.co.uk marked up as ‘My Newbury’, with brief details of who is in the picture and where it was taken. We will then publish the pictures either online at Newburytoday.co.uk or in the Newbury Weekly news or The Advertiser newspapers.
Happy egg hunting!
