Easter waste collection dates





Owing to to the bank holiday, refuse/recycling kerbside collections will be one day later between today (Fri) and Saturday, April 6, returning to normal on Monday, April 8.
West Berkshire executive councillor for the environment, Hilary Cole, said: “Please don’t forget to place any extra recycling created over the Easter period into the correct recycling bin.
"Everything from leftovers from family meals or cardboard packaging from your Easter eggs can be recycled."
From April 1, the Household Waste Recycling Centre, in Newtown Road, Newbury, is open for an additional two hours in the evening, from 8.30am until 7.30pm, until September 30.
Alternatively, items can be taken to the recycling centre in Padworth, Reading. Opening hours are 12.30pm until 6pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am until 6pm Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays.
