Education Secretary attends Woolton Hill Village Market
Lovely weather blessed this month's Woolton Hill Village Market, which took place on Saturday.
The market was very well attended, with one visitor being North West Hampshire MP Kit Malthouse, the newly appointed Education Secretary.
Mr Malthouse said: "We are very lucky to have a such a thriving village market in Woolton Hill. I drop in whenever I get the chance and always leave laden down with fresh fish, cheese, local venison and lots more."
Alongside the typical craft wares and food stalls, two Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) were in attendance.
PCSOs River Lewis and Joshua Revett showed off their patrol car to excited children and were asked questions from the community about their role.
The next edition of Woolton Hill Village Market will take place on November 26, but this could be the last for some time unless a new committee to run the market is found.
Mr Malthouse also said: "Sadly the fantastic team who’ve been running the show are standing down, and they’re looking for volunteers to replace them, so if you’d like to get involved with a jewel in our community, please do get in touch with them."
