Egg-cellent bar snack award for West Berkshire pub





The Bladebone Inn, Chapel Row, won the gold medal at the Scotch Egg Challenge 2013, which were held in London last Tuesday.
Chefs from around the country competed to win the crowning title, with a celebrity panel casting their critical eyes over the entries.
The judging panel consisted of Eric Lanlard from Channel Four’s

, Gizzi Erskine, who is just about to launch her Korean pop-up in London, Fortnum and Mason’s executive chef Shaun Hill, James Knappett from Bubbledogs and creator of Forever Eggsploring blog and the Scotch Egg challenge, David Constable.
More than 300 eggs were cooked during the competition, which was eventually won by The Bladebone Inn.
