Eight crews on scene of blaze at Hermitage industrial fire

Residents living nearby have been advised by Thames Valley Police to keep all windows and doors shut.
The incident is in Sawmill Road and has closed the whole of the industrial estate and some nearby roads.
Pattern Imprinted Concrete Supplies is thought to be premises involved, however this has not yet been confirmed.
The fire is said to have started some time after 9am this morning.
Local residents have reported on social media hearing explosions coming from the site.
@DevonTwitt tweeted: "Loud explosion, thick smoke? Appears to be near Red Shute hill, not sure? Hope all ok."

@RustyRoyal said: "Road closures, explosions and a black sky for miles" and sent us this photograph.

@MrHubba said: "One of the units holding chemicals. 5/6 explosions this morning.
"First explosion around 10.10[am] sent shockwave into house, then 4 or 5 followed a few minutes later close together."

was visiting her grandparents in Chieveley at the time of the explosions. She said: "We heard what we thought was someone banging around up stairs. "My Grandad came in from lighting a bonfire and said that there was a lot of dark smoke coming from Hermitage way, so we went to investigate as many people did."
We are currently awaiting further information from the emergency services.
