Elcot chimney fire due to soot build up

One pump was called at 7.30pm from Newbury Fire Station to the hunting lodge, a cottage in a country lane, situated behind the Elcot Park Hotel.
Firefighters used chimney rods to extinguish the blaze and provided fire safety advice,before leaving after about 45 minutes.
