Elderly Beenham man dies after serious Padworth collision

The A4 was closed both ways after the black Vauxhall Agila, driven by the man, collided with a silver Peugeot 308 between the A340 Basingstoke Road, at the Aldermaston Wharf roundabout, and the A340 Wigmore Lane, Theale roundabout.
The driver of the Vauxhall, a 68-year-old man was airlifted hospital with serious injuries but has since died.
Thames Valley Police is appealing to witnesses of the incident.
PC Gareth Miles, who is investigating the accident, said: “It was a busy time of day and as there were plenty of motorists in the area at the time, I am appealing to anyone who saw these vehicles being driven before the collision happened, to get in touch.”
