Elderly man found dead in Bucklebury

A 90-year-old man has been found dead in Bucklebury.

Police were called to a property in Broad Lane by the South Central Ambulance Service at around 1.35pm on Sunday after the elderly man had died.

Firefighters from the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended the incident and made the area safe due to smoke coming from the Broad Lane property.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

“His next of kin are aware and have been offered our support.”
