Elderly women threatened by burglars
Police are hunting two men who stole one elderly woman's handbag and injured another woman
BURGLARS threatened two elderly women at a residence in Heath End last Friday (January 28), robbing one and injuring the other.
Hampshire police are seeking witnesses after two men entered an address and threatened the two female occupants, aged 91 and 60, sometime between 2.30pm and 3pm.
One of the men is said to have shouted at the women and during the burglary the younger woman was injured.
A handbag containing cash was stolen.
The men were chased out of the property and were spotted getting into a light coloured car, which then drove off at speed towards East End.
The first man was described as white, aged around 18 years, 5ft 6in, of slim build, with dark hair. He was wearing black jeans, a black hooded anorak and a black scarf with yellow writing on it around his face
The second is also described as white, in his late teens to early 20s, about 5ft 10in. He was wearing dark clothing with a black hood which was up and a dark scarf covering his face.
Pc David Cook said: “This appears to have been an isolated incident where two women have been put through a terrifying ordeal.
“Did you see these two men, or the vehicle in the area, or do you have any information about who was responsible for this. If so, please get in touch.”
