Eleven-year-old boy has inhaler, phone and watch stolen in Thatcham robbery

AN eleven-year-old boy had his inhaler, phone and watch stolen in a robbery in Thatcham.

At around 5.25pm yesterday (Tuesday, June 9) the boy was walking in the Memorial Playing Fields, Brownsfield Road, when he noticed he was being followed by a man.

As the boy attempted to make a phone call, the offender snatched the phone, a watch from his wrist and searched his pocket, taking a ventilation inhaler.

The man is described as white, in his mid twenties to early thirties, clean shaven, approximately 5ft 2ins, of an average build and with short black hair with blonde streaks.

He was wearing a plain white t-shirt, blue denim shirts and a bulky military style belt.

Investigating officer, Natasha Hurst, from local CID, said: "I would like to speak to anyone that recognises the man in this description or saw anything suspicious at the time of this incident. If anyone has any concerns and /or would like to receive personal safety advice, please do not hesitate to contact your local neighbourhood team”.
