Emergency care given at terraced house blaze in Dauntless Road, Burghfield Common

Firefighters had to provide emergency care to a person at a blaze in a terraced house.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a fire on Dauntless Road in Burghfield Common at 5.09pm yesterday (Thursday).

Crews from Mortimer, Theale and Whitley Wood were sent to the scene of the fire in the two-storey terraced house.

Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used three hose reels and a main jet to extinguish the fire.

They then ventilated smoke from the property using a fan.

Firefighters also provided immediate emergency care to one person.

Crews were at the scene for approximately two hours.
