Emergency works cause delays along M4 between Chieveley and Theale

There are currently delays on the M4 eastbound due to emergency roadside drain works.

The right lane is closed, causing severe delays between junctions 13 and 12 (Chieveley to Theale), with traffic travelling at an average speed of 10mph.

Traffic conditions are expected to return to normal by 3pm today (Sunday).

The emergency works began early yesterday morning (Saturday) and are expected to be completed by 12pm tomorrow (Monday).

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journey.
