English Provender to expand into Slater Centre

The firm already occupies a large warehouse next to the Slater Centre but it has revealed plans to take over its neighbouring site to provide a centre for Innovation Excellence, house product development, marketing and production teams, while expanding and improving staff facilities at its current site to include a larger canteen and rest areas.
Last month, the Newbury Weekly News reported that the Community Furniture Project and West Berkshire Mencap Link Up would be moving to a new unit on Hambridge Road in three months time, leaving the Slater Centre empty.
EPC managing director Stephen Hughes, said: “Innovation is at the heart of everything we do.
“Our business continues to grow rapidly and we need more room.
“We currently employ over 350 people on site and are recruiting now for production and office based staff to share in our exciting growth plans."
