Enjoy a lap with the Stig at the show

You can be reaching speeds of more than 250mph in the Top Gear simulator

IF you've ever fancied a ride in a super car then head down to the Royal County of Berkshire Show.

BBC programme Top Gear is inviting spectators on board their simulator where you can ride in a Bugatti Veyron, top speed of 253mph, or a R7500 Caterham driven by the Stig.

The simulator costs £3.50 per person and to read what our reporter James Williams made of the experience, see the Newbury Weekly News on Thursday.

Nearby is the display arena where you can try your hand at pole climbing or watch the professionals who can climb the 60ft poles in speeds of up to nine seconds.

There are other displays from the Sandleford Dog Agility Team and a falconry display from Ray Prior.
