Greener Kingsclere’s first sustainability event is taking place at the Fieldgate Centre on February 25 and will focus on energy saving
Greener Kingsclere is hosting its very first sustainability event this weekend.
The environmental group, which is known for running local eco-markets over the past four years, is launching this new initiative to coincide with its current offerings.
Greener Kingsclere’s first sustainability event is taking place on Sunday from 10am to 12.30pm at the Fieldgate Centre and its focus is on energy saving.
Alongside the group’s regular repair café, clothes swap, and refreshments, the event will also host some organisation representatives that will be able to give residents advice on how to save energy and money.
Members of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s green team will be present to support people and groups in cutting their emissions and becoming more sustainable.
They will also be offering a free home energy survey.
Kingsclere Community Association members will be sharing their experiences of sourcing solar power for both domestic and commercial properties and Tadley’s Citizens Advice Bureau team may be able to help anyone struggling to pay home energy bills.

The group’s next sustainability event will focus on food and it will take place on April 14.
