Sainsbury's, Tadley to host charity quiz, East Woodhay Local History Society event and Hannington fundraiser
Sainsburys in Tadley are to hold a general knowedge quiz night to raise charity funds at the end of this month.
The Mulfords Hill store has chosen Tadley's Loddon Valley Day Care centre in Franklin Avenue as it's nominated charity this year.
The centre provides respite care for the elderly.
The quiz, for teams of four, will be at 7.30pm on Friday September 30, in Sainsbury's cafe.
Tickets available from the customer service desk, or the Ambrose Allen Centre, Franklin Avenue, (Mon, Wed, Thurs, 10am to 3pm) or telephone (0118) 9819841. Cost £5 per person including soft drinks/light refreshments.
EAST Woodhay Local History Society is inviting folks along to tell their story over a cup of tea at an open day today (Saturday Sept 10).
Villagers can take along old photographs, deeds, documents and stories to browse over and help plug any local
historical gaps.
The open day is at East Woodhay Village Hall from 10am to 4pm, entry free of charge.
FULL English breakfasts will be served up in Hannington tomorrow (Sunday Sept 11) to raise charity funds.
The breakfasts will be served from 8am, with all funds raised in aid of St Michael's Hospice, Basingstoke.
Breakfasters will also be given a map, offering the choice of three, optional walks. Cost £8 per person at Freemantle Park Farm, RG27 5UD
TADLEY and Baughurst Art Club is hosting its autumn exhibition in Tadley at the end of this month.
A wide variety of club member's work will be on display, with painting demonstrations throughout the weekend.
The exhibition will on Saturday September 24 and
Sunday September 25, at the Ambrose Allen Centre, Franklin
Avenue, from 10am to 5pm (closes 4pm Sunday), refreshments
available, free entry and parking.
