Fairs, fetes and sheep
Then look no further than the host of events taking place in West Berkshire.
Today, Hampstead Norreys is continuing its free art festival – Freefest.
The festival, which includes 50 events at 5 venues across the village, started yesterday and will run until tomorrow.
Tomorrow (Sun), East Ilsley will be holing its annual sheep fair at Penn Meadow.
The day, which runs from 12noon to 4.30pm, includes a space hopper relay, sheep sheering, a dog show, cheerleading and a wife carrying contest.
Forty charities will feature in the Volunteer Centre West Berkshire’s recruitment fair from 10am until 3pm.
The event takes place at the Corn Exchange, Market Place.
Tadley Treacle Fair takes place from 11am until 4.30pm.
During the event, which takes place at Saunders Field, there will be stunt shows, vehicle displays and Hawk and Ferrets shows.
The Olly Johnson Memorial Run takes starts at 10.30am at Kintbury Recreation Ground and the Watermill Theatre fete and summer party takes place from 12pm until 4pm.
For sport lovers Newbury take on Old Merchant Taylors in cricket at Northcroft today (Sat)from 2pm.
Tomorrow, Cold Ash take on Sulhamstead at the recreation ground in Hermitage Road.
