Things to do this weekend: Wine and food festival in Hungerford, River Lambourn litter pick, Thatcham fun day and Dominoes tumbling through Newbury




The whole family can be entertained this weekend with fetes, craft fairs, markets, music and a free outdoor event in Newbury town centre organsied by the Corn Exchange and 101 Outdoor Arts.

Saturday, June 25

And Sunday 26, English Wine and Food Festival, Cobbs Farm Shop, Hungerford, 11am-5pm. Locally-produced artisan food and beers. Meet winemakers, growers and join tutored tastings. www.englishwineandfoodfestival.co.uk

Stockcross Primary School Summer Fete, noon-3pm. Barbecue, bar, face painting, inflatable assault course and lots of games.

Love the Lambourn, River litter pick volunteer day, 9.30am-3.30pm. Organised by ARK

Craft Fair, Preston Hall, Kintbury, 10am-1pm. Kintbury preschool fundraising event.

Douai Pavilion Live Music summer event, 2.30pm-late. Acts include Sion Whiley, ABBA tribute Masters of the Scene and many more. Resfreshments available. Raffle fundraiser for Multiple System Atrophy Trust.

Jumble sale with cake sale, Kingsclere Scout Hut 10am-12.30pm. Raising money for pack holiday and unit funds.

Dominoes, Newbury, 3pm-5pm. Presented by Corn Exchange and 101 Outdoor Arts. Thousands of concrete blocks form a meandering line through the town. A map of the route will be available from the Corn Exchange website. Free event.

Quiz Night, Community Centre, Wash Common, 7.30pm. £6 a team, maximum five in a team. Refreshments available. Fundraiser for Maureen Church Fund, Royal Berkshire Hospital.

Thatcham Litter Pickers, Memorial Playing Field (meet in the car park behind the cricket pitch), 10am-11am. Equipment provided, but bring your own gloves and refreshemnt. And Sunday, at the Thatcham Family Fun Day, 3pm-4pm.

Sunday, June 26

Classic vehicle day, Yattendon, 11am-4pm. Free to enter your classic vehicle and free to the public. Refreshments available. All proceeds to Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

Beating the Bounds, Newbury, 2pm. Meet outside the town hall for six-mile walk. Suitable for all ages and walking abilities. Refreshments available on return to town hall.

Thatcham Family Fun Day, Henwick Worthy Sports Ground, 11am-4pm. Refreshments, food and plenty of entertainment including fun rides, sports zone and classic cars. Find out more here.

Artisan market, Northbrook Street, Newbury, 10am-4pm. Craft and food stalls.

Open Gardens, Tadley Place Baughurst, Tadley, 2pm-5pm. The gardens surround the Tudor manor house and include formal areas, a large kitchen garden and access to a bluebell wood with a pond. Admission £6, children free.

Cove Brass Band, Victoria Park bandstand, Newbury, 3pm-5pm.
