Family gets a very special gift for Christmas
Meet Aaron, the only West Berkshire baby to be born on Christmas Day at the Royal Berkshire Hosiptal this year
WEST Berkshire was gifted with one Christmas Day baby this year.
Thirty-four-year-old Donna Johnson-Taylor and her husband Karl Johnson-Taylor, aged 40, of The Frances, Thatcham, were thrilled when their second child, Aaron Johnson-Taylor, entered the world at 1.24pm.
Aaron, weighing 7lbs and 12oz, was born one day late at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.
Mr Johnson-Taylor said that their other child, three-year-old Callum, ended up spending parts of the day with his grandfather.
He said of his newborn child: "There was no appearance on Christmas Eve and then on Christmas Day out popped a rather beautiful baby.
"It was a bit surreal with a three-and-a-half year old - you want to spend Christmas with him.
"We missed Christmas Day with Callum which was a bit of a shame but when we got back home we opened presents."
He added: "Next year is going to be fun with Christmas and a birthday on the same day.
"It has been an interesting time."
Twelve babies in total were born on Christmas Day at the Royal Berkshire Hospital this year.
