Fancy dress company look to set Hallowe'en record
Jokers' Masquerade is attempting to organise the largest gathering of skeletons for Hallowe'en
A NEWBURY fancy dress company will attempt to break its second world record, this time by attempting to organise the largest gathering of skeletons for Hallowe'en.
Jokers' Masquerade, based at Union House, Kennet Side, already holds the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of Smurfs, which they broke in 2009 with 2,510 dressed as smurfs gathering at a Swansea nightclub.
On October 8 the company, in association with Swansea University Students Union, will be trying to break the largest gathering of people dresssed in skeleton costumes.
The record currently stands at 197 which was set by the Paul O'Grady Show in 2009 but Jokers' Masquerade hope to smash the record by gathering more than 2,000 skeletons.
Donna Houguez, marketing manager; said: “As Jokers' Masquerade is a fancy dress company, we like to have a bit of fun. We wanted to do a Hallowe'en themed record and thought a room full of 2,000 dancing skeletons would make for a fantastic sight!”
